About
ResearchNav is a link directory for research and study. It exists because finding things in academia is rarely a matter of searching — it is usually a matter of remembering what the door is called.
What is in here
Roughly 250 entries in 14 sections — everyday picks, academic sources, grant applications, AI, search, software tools, reading, templates, developer resources, shopping, media operations, webmaster tools, video and audio, and daily-life services — each split again into small groups by purpose.
Every line is written by hand: the name people actually use, and a description that says what the site is for rather than calling it a professional leading platform. Each section page also carries its own introduction about how that corner of the field works.
Listing criteria
Publicly reachable, clearly useful, actually used. Official sites first, widely used tools second.
We do not list resources that require cracking, licence circumvention, or that distribute unauthorised copies — no pirated film, ebook or cracked-software doors. If something already listed turns out to be that, or goes permanently offline or moves, we correct or remove it after checking.
Listings and ordering are not for sale and are not influenced by advertising. Where an entry sits depends on the problem it solves, not on what anyone gave us.
Who runs it
One person with a research background, in spare time. It is not a company, institution or team, and there is no editorial board.
So expect lag and the occasional dead link: an entry may be out of date before we notice. Writing to us is much faster than being annoyed elsewhere.
Technology and operations
A purely static site: all three languages are generated by a build script, the server runs nginx with HTTPS only. No database, no accounts, no tracking plugins.
Traffic is measured with Google Analytics 4 alone, and updated pages are announced to Bing, Yandex and others through IndexNow. The Privacy Policy has the cookie details.
On advertising
Pages may show Google AdSense ads so the server and domain can pay for themselves. Ad placement is decided by Google; we neither write nor curate what appears.
Ad revenue does not change listing criteria or ordering, and an ad is never an endorsement from us. You can ignore advertising entirely — reading the directory does not depend on clicking anything.
Contact, corrections, reuse
Suggestions, dead links, corrections, removal requests and reuse enquiries all go to the same address: jiangnan.chemistry@gmail.com — naming the exact link helps us act on it fast.
